Singapore Doctors Give Health Talk

KOTA KINABALU: About 300 people here benefited from a health talk jointly organized by Glory Christian Centre (GCC), Kota Kinabalu and Parkwayhealth, Singapore at Promenade Hotel on Sunday. The event was part of GCC Community Care’s effort in creating wider health awareness in the city. Parkwayhealth is a major hospital owner/operator and health service provider in Singapore.

“With increased awareness and knowledge, we can make better informed decisions regarding our health,” a GCC spokesperson said. Gynecologist Dr Christopher Chong from the Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore, spoke on ‘Women’s Health’ covering menopause, prolapsed, incontinence, fibroids, ovarian cysts and sexual health. Dr Lim Khong Hee, a general surgeon from Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore, spoke on ‘Gastric Pain – What can you do’.

Besides a well-participated question-and-answer session, medical consultation was given to several individuals. Participants commented the talk was enlightening.
