HK Actor Shares Transformation of His Life
KOTA KINABALU: No matter the depth of despair a person is experiencing, hope and salvation are available to those who seek- that’s the Easter message Hong Kong actor Huang Zi Yang had for the people of this city.
Speaking to a audience of about 1,800 who watched Huang playing himself in the movie ‘ The Most Dangerous Man’ at the Glory Christian Centre (GCC) auditorium here recently, he shared how his life was transformed by the power of God.
The movie told how Huang, an illegal immigrant from China, plunged into the world of crime, became the leader of a notorious armed gang and how a persistent apstor touched his life while he was in prison for his crimes.
Huang’s message of hope was reinforced by a ‘Starting Afresh with God’ sermon preached two days later by GCC’s senior pastor Dr William Vun.
“Our activities are aimed at reminding and reinforcing the deeper meaning of the death of Jesus Christ on the cross and His resurrection, and we are truly privileged to have Huang personally sharing his touching life story with the people of Kota Kinabalu,” said Pastor Susan Pang, who is the director of GCC’s Community Care ministry.
In conjunction with the Easter celebration in church, GCC members visited a number of welfare homes and the families of special children in the city during what Christians regarded as the ‘Holy Weekend’.
Educational talks on dental care and personal hygiene were also organized and were well received.
