A mother’s prayer

Chong Yan Lee

Good  Morning Church.  I am Chong Yan Lee from CC1. Foremost I would like to thank God for His grace that I am here to share my personal testimony, I am a housewife with 2 children and both of them grew up in this church.  They participated in Glory Kids and 412 Powered Youth.

Each day during my devotional time I would pray for their safety, studies and good health. Pei Yii, my daughter since young likes to study and would always have good results.  During her Secondary School, SPM and Senior 3 exams were the most important exams.  Daily I would pray that the Lord would grant her wisdom to have excellent results and able to go overseas to continue her university to glorify the Name of the Lord.

Praise the Lord, Pei Yii’s SPM and Senior 3 results were excellent.  She was Tshung Tsin Seconday School most Outstanding Student.  Many local and overseas universities offer her scholarships.  It was really tough to decide which university to choose.  We committed all these to the Lord for His guidance.

It was through the teachers’ constant explanations, recommendations and encouragements that Pei Yii finally chose Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a 4-year Outstanding Student Scholarship in Accountancy.  On top of this, the University will sponsor part of her daily expense and this reduces our family financial burden.

I am extremely glad and grateful for the Lord has heard my prayers.  We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.  If only we trust, believe and look to Him and He will accomplish much more than we ask or think.  Jeremiah 29:12-13, “Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.  And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your hearts.”
